Updated 2 October 2026. Cogniloops is operated by Cogniloops Ltd., Chile. The contact person for the service and privacy requests is Vicente Vial, at contact@cogniloops.com.
This notice covers Work & Study, Brain Gym and Learn & Practice, including tools for focused work, games, flashcards and other practice methods.
Your account and saved work
A free account is required to use the tools. When account saving is connected, notes, tasks, bookmarks, soundtrack links, portable preferences and focus history are sent to Cogniloops and stored privately for your account in the configured Neon database. Unfinished Quick-note drafts, the running timer and device notification settings are excluded from account backups.
Changes waiting to save are held in this tab's browser storage so a brief connection failure or page reload can be recovered. This is not a promise of offline access. Closing the tab or clearing browser storage may remove unsaved changes. Confirmed account data remains on the service until it is removed there. Downloads from Account → Your data remain wherever you save them. Signing out hides the active workspace and ends the session; it does not delete saved account data.
Work saved before accounts were introduced remains in the original browser storage. It is uploaded only when you explicitly choose to import a service into your account. Importing keeps the original browser copy. Clearing site data can remove that copy.
Brain Gym practice
Brain Gym settings, completed sessions, practice time and results are saved to your account when saving is connected. Import progress reads a selected backup on your device and previews a merge; confirming the import adds it to your account data. Clear history removes current Brain Gym completions while preserving its settings and Work & Study data. Recent preceding versions may remain in recovery copies. The optional Read instructions aloud control uses your browser's speech service for the displayed instruction text. No microphone or camera is used.
Learn & Practice
Learn & Practice saves personal decks, review ratings, timestamps, learning schedules and a practice profile identifier to your account when saving is connected. Recognition and recall have separate schedules. Earlier practice counts are preserved during an explicit import. Download deck saves card content to your device. Imports are previewed locally before confirmation adds them to account data. Typed practice responses and unsaved deck-editor drafts are not included in saved review history. Listen uses your browser's speech service for the selected word or phrase; voice availability and processing depend on your browser. No microphone is used.
Sign-in and account management
Authentication is enabled on this installation. Signing up or signing in sends your supplied name, email and authentication details through Cogniloops to Neon's managed authentication service. It creates account/session records and uses authentication cookies. Browsing public pages does not create a Neon identity. The same identity is used across Cogniloops services.
Account records remain in the configured Neon project until removed through account management. Contact the operator below for account-data requests while self-service deletion is not available. Verification and password recovery use the configured email service when delivery is enabled. The current validation project is in AWS US East (Ohio). Media buckets are not connected to the tools.
For recovery, the account store keeps up to three preceding saved versions of each service. Save receipts record operation identifiers and content fingerprints to prevent duplicate writes. These records are separate from the current workspace and are included in account-data removal procedures.
Closing an account first blocks access to its saved work. Application-data removal clears current work, recovery copies and save receipts. A disabled account identifier and closure dates remain so delayed saves cannot recreate removed content. Managed authentication records are removed separately. Copies already downloaded or stored in a browser are not erased remotely.
YouTube and other external services
Loading a soundtrack sends a request to Google/YouTube, including the video or playlist identifier and network information such as your IP address. The official player may use cookies, show ads or apply account, age and regional restrictions. Google handles those requests under its Privacy Policy. Avoid loading a soundtrack if you do not want these requests.
Opening external links or displaying bookmark icons may contact the linked website or icon provider. Cogniloops does not download or host YouTube audio. Sharing a preset link shares a preset code; it does not share your personal workspace.
Hosting and usage measurement
On a Vercel-hosted Cogniloops deployment, Vercel receives network and browser information to deliver pages, keep the service secure and diagnose failures. Hosting providers may process requests outside Chile. Their retention and security practices are described in the Vercel Privacy Policy.
Product analytics are not enabled in this deployment. When configured, the app’s event payloads describe actions, broad timing/device categories, preset codes and campaign labels. They exclude note/task text and pasted soundtrack URLs. They do not upload your workspace or use it for advertising.
Support correspondence and retention
Email links open your own email app. If you contact us, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send, and use them to answer and follow up on your request. Our email delivery and mailbox providers process messages for those purposes. Do not include private notes, credentials or a full workspace backup unless it is necessary and you choose to share it.
We keep support correspondence while a request and necessary follow-up remain active, then delete it unless continued retention is needed for a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute. You can request earlier deletion. We request express permission where required and use personal data only for the stated purposes or where applicable law authorizes or requires processing.
Your choices and rights
Contact contact@cogniloops.com to request information about personal data we hold, its origin, recipients and purpose, or to request correction, deletion or blocking where applicable. You can also withdraw permission for processing based on consent. We may request the minimum information needed to verify that a request concerns your data; we cannot retrieve browser-local notes we never received.
These procedures do not limit rights or remedies available under applicable law. Chile’s Law 19.628 is a current reference for data protection. We will review this notice for the changes taking effect on 1 December 2026 under Law 21.719.
Changes and contact
We will update this notice when the service’s data handling changes. Changes to account services, cloud workspace backup and sync, new analytics uses or materially different processing will be explained before they are introduced. Privacy questions can be sent to Vicente Vial at the address above.
